In D3 – Dance Discovers Digital project, the digital technologies challenge the expressive possibilities of dance as one of the oldest art forms and create a new, sensual theatre experience.

In collaboration with Dutch choreographer Nanine Linning Irina Shaposhnikova looks into the renaissance era costumes and old anatomy illustrations which are reimagined in modern materials such as neoprene and high-tech jerseys. Inspired by Alchemy and the search of eternal life and immortality the costume designer experiments with Renaissance paintings and the process of dissolution transforming them into series of digital prints of the jackets, dresses, belts and skirts.
