Irina Shaposhnikova's unique vision and design aesthetic offers a modern interpretation of femininity by creating elegant pieces through combining innovative materials, techniques and garment construction methods. She finds inspiration in craftsmanship and garments, experimenting with unconventional pattern-making and assembly techniques. 

Irina's work has been featured in two exhibitions: ‘The Future of Fashion is Now’ in Boijmans Museum (NL) and ‘Unravel: Knitwear in Fashion’ in MOMU Museum (BE). In 2010 Shaposhnikova had a solo exhibition at Colette pop-up stores in Paris and London. 

Since 2017 Shaposhnikova collaborates with Dutch choreographer Nanine Linning and creates costumes for Stuttgart Ballet, Bavarian State Opera and Theatre Heidelberg


Designer Irina Shaposhnikova studied at University of Arts in London and then continued her studies at Fashion Department of Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Her graduate MA collection that bears her signature quickly attracted attention earning critical acclaim from a number of influential magazines and industry professionals.

Besides her creative practice Irina was Senior Lecturer at British Higher School of Art and Design where she trained many talents. Most recently she gives lectures and workshops at prestigious Institut Français de la Mode in Paris.
